Terms of Service

These terms apply to Pencilday at pencilday.com, a scheduling service operated by Steven Goff. Pencilday is independent and not affiliated with Doodle AG or other scheduling services. Contact hello@pencilday.com with questions. By using Pencilday, you agree to these terms.

Using the service

Pencilday lets you run group polls, surveys, sign-up sheets and 1:1s, publish booking pages, embed them on websites, and send related emails and calendar invites. You can respond without an account. You must be at least 13 and able to agree to these terms; if you are under the age of majority, a parent or guardian must authorize your use.

Free forever, and what might cost money

Group scheduling on Pencilday is free, with no ads. We may later offer optional paid business tools (for example custom branding); if we do, features that are free when you use them will stay free. Free use is subject to reasonable-use limits that protect the service, such as email sending limits.

Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of what you submit and give us permission to store, process, and display it to operate the service. Only invite people by email if you have a reasonable basis to contact them. Do not send spam, impersonate others, harass participants, post unlawful content, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service.

Links, organizers and bookings

Protect your account and private organizer links. A shared link lets others view and participate. Organizers and booking page owners control their settings and may remove responses, cancel bookings, or delete pages. Guest names are not verified. Bookings are arrangements between the booker and the page owner; Pencilday is not a party to them and does not guarantee that anyone attends.

Scheduling and calendar information

Votes, time zone conversions, conflict indicators and open-slot displays are planning aids. They do not guarantee availability or the accuracy of any calendar. Confirm important arrangements directly.

Third-party services and privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Clerk, Google, Microsoft, Brevo and Cloudflare may apply their own terms. Availability of third-party features can change.

Changes, suspension and ending use

Features may change or be discontinued. We may restrict access or remove content to address abuse, security, legal obligations, or operational needs. You can stop using the service at any time, delete what you control, or ask us to delete your account data.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation, and Steven Goff is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed events, missed bookings, or lost data. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
